Community Health and Empowerment Network Inc

The Community Health and Empowerment Network, Inc. is a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit organization that exists to provide health education, screening services, and resources to families in low-income and underserved communities.  Our goal is to help bridge the health gaps that currently exist in our community.  We want to reduce health disparities in South Florida so, we help individuals to make healthier lifestyle choices so they can avoid preventable diseases such as HIV, heart diseases, strokes, and other preventable diseases.  We are also in the community providing social services to people in need who are facing homelessness, especially in the Haitian community.  We know that housing is a major crisis in our community as well as food insecurities.  Therefore, for every client that we offer a health screening to, we also set him/her up with a care plan to help them get into housing, find employment, and connect them to resources.  We also provide them with free medical consultations from a medical provider where they can get their medication for low to no cost if they do not have insurance. Our goal is for individuals who have high blood pressure, live with HIV, and/or are diabetic can come to us and we will provide the support that they need so they can live healthier and more productive life for themselves and their children. 

Since the majority of the work that we do is free, your donation can greatly help with meeting the needs of the families we serve.  Without the work that we do, many people will not receive health care, food or housing.  We ask for your donation of $25, 50, $100 or more.  Thank you in advance and may God bless your giving and kind gesture.
