Coastlove Inc

Coastlove was founded in response to a pressing environmental and social need to take action against ocean plastic and coastal degradation while making conservation accessible to everyone. After witnessing the disconnect between large conservation initiatives and the local communities most affected, founder Joseph Land set out to bridge those gaps. His personal journey from growing up in an under-resourced, landlocked area to becoming a passionate advocate for equitable coastal restoration shaped Coastlove’s mission of inclusivity, collaboration, and community empowerment. 

Coastlove serves the general Miami-Dade population, with a focus on under-resourced communities, ensuring equitable access to environmental education and conservation opportunities. We work directly with residents to identify challenges, prioritize needs, and create lasting solutions through Community Action events and youth programs. Our Young Changemakers Program empowers students to take action through cleanups, water testing, and conservation projects while learning to lead their own community initiatives. Our Hydration Station Pop Up Program helps communities facing extreme heat by providing free cold water, reusable bottles, shade, and education on sustainable hydration. 

Through collaboration, education, and action, Coastlove is restoring both coastlines and communities, building a more resilient and sustainable future for all.
