The BusinessFlare® Academy (BFA) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) educational organization dedicated to helping cities, communities, and individuals develop the skills and capacity needed to build stronger local economies.
We train public servants — from city staff and board members to elected officials — in the fundamentals of community, economic, and workforce development. Our programs strengthen the ability of local governments to make informed, practical decisions that foster revitalization and sustainable growth.
Beyond government, the Academy extends its mission to the public, offering education and support for individuals seeking opportunity through entrepreneurship, self-employment, and community leadership. This includes targeted programs for veterans and disadvantaged youth, with a focus on micro-enterprise and small business development that reflects the unique character and potential of each community.
