BRIDGE Immigration Network works with immigrant families at a moment of extraordinary fear and uncertainty.
Increased immigration enforcement, detention, deportation, and the loss of legal protections for thousands of immigrants are creating fear and instability across Miami-Dade. We see it in families, but we are also seeing it in our schools, workplaces, and businesses. Employers are losing workers. Businesses in immigrant communities are losing customers. Families are limiting where they go and what they spend. Miami-Dade schools have experienced a dramatic decline in enrollment, including a steep reduction in newly arriving immigrant students.
BRIDGE's Family Preparedness Workshops are a direct response to this moment. Our goal is to help immigrant families prepare for the consequences of detention or deportation and protect the stability they have worked for years to build.
The impact is practical and deeply personal. A prepared family is in a stronger position to respond when a parent is detained or deported. Children are better protected. Critical decisions have been considered. Families understand their rights, know where to turn for trusted help
That work requires philanthropic support. Donor contributions allow us to bring Family Preparedness Workshops to more Miami-Dade communities and reach families who otherwise may not have access to this level of preparation and trusted immigration support.
The urgency is now. Every workshop we expand, every community we reach, and every family we help prepare strengthens more than one household. It helps protect children, preserve family stability, and reduce the wider disruption that immigration enforcement is already creating across Miami-Dade.
Supporting BRIDGE is an investment in immigrant families and in the stability of the communities and local economy they help sustain.
