Who We Are

AMFF empowers college students, recent graduates, and individuals receiving job coaching, including those who are neurodivergent or have disabilities, to find their voices, build confidence, and prepare for meaningful career opportunities through hands-on experiences in media and communication.

Founded by Dawn Graubert and Frederico “Freddy” Santory, AMFF connects students with hands-on learning, professional equipment, mentorship, and individualized support. Through our connection with AMP Media Productions, participants work alongside media professionals on real broadcasts and creative projects, building skills in production, storytelling, marketing, and teamwork.

We believe in fairness, inclusion, and the potential of every individual. Our purpose is to create a safe, welcoming environment where students can build confidence, discover their strengths, and use media to spotlight their communities and make a positive impact. 

The Problem We Solve

Talent and potential exist across all abilities and backgrounds, but access to opportunity is unequal. Nationally, 21% of undergraduate students reported having a disability in 2019–2020, highlighting the importance of accessible education and individualized support. This figure measures disability prevalence rather than the percentage requesting accommodations. Meanwhile, 42% of recent college graduates were underemployed in the second quarter of 2026, working in jobs that typically do not require a college degree. This reflects a broader challenge in moving from education to meaningful employment, rather than a statistic specific to media careers.

For students pursuing careers in media, particularly neurodivergent students and those with disabilities, limited access to professional equipment, practical experience, mentorship, and individualized job coaching can make that transition even harder. Without support that recognizes their strengths and accommodates their learning needs, capable students may struggle to build portfolios, develop confidence, and demonstrate their abilities to employers.

AMP Media Futures Foundation helps close this opportunity gap through hands-on media training, access to professional equipment, mentorship, and individualized support in a safe, creative, and inclusive learning environment. By connecting learning with real production experiences, AMFF helps participants build technical and communication skills, strengthen their portfolios, find their voices, and prepare for meaningful career opportunities. Support for student stipends helps reduce financial barriers so more students can participate and turn their potential into progress.

Amplifying Voices, Creating Opportunities: Our Impact in Miami-Dade County

AMP Media Futures Foundation’s impact extends into Miami-Dade County, including Shenandoah, North Miami, and Coral Gables. Through our connection with AMP Media Productions, we bring students, artists, entrepreneurs, and community organizations together through media education, communication, and storytelling.

Our community connections include the Arts & Business Council of Miami, Monochrome Miami, Amy Reshefsky Art, and Don Pablo Coffee Growers and Roasters. These connections bring arts, business, and media together, creating opportunities to spotlight local talent and entrepreneurship, share meaningful stories, and introduce students to creative and business professionals.

At the center of our mission is access to opportunity. We support college students, including neurodivergent students and those with disabilities, through hands-on media experiences, mentorship, and individualized guidance. Working alongside media professionals helps participants develop technical skills, strengthen communication, build portfolios, and gain confidence as they prepare for future employment.

Our impact reaches beyond the students we mentor. Through the content they help create, local artists, small businesses, and individuals making a difference gain a platform to share their work and connect with wider audiences. Through our Miami-Dade community connections, we continue to build a more inclusive pathway into media, where people can find their voices, recognize their strengths, and use their talents to make a positive impact.
