Angel Fraser-Logan Dance Company

A contemporary-based dance company led by Artistic Director Angel Fraser-Logan, the Angel Fraser-Logan Dance Company (AFLDC) provides dance instruction to youth while nurturing the talent of emerging professional dance artists and choreographers. Founded in 2002, AFLDC is dedicated to providing professional level opportunities to emerging choreographers and young dancers, particularly children and youth in underserved areas in the south part of Miami-Dade County. With the support of the community, AFLDC cultivates dance artists to strengthen Miami's dance talent pool. Seeing a need to provide students from in South Miami-Dade with access to opportunities to train and perform, AFLDC was established and has successfully nurtured the talent of hundreds of children and youth, providing scholarship for young dancers in underserved areas. Alumni have studied at The Juilliard School, Fordham University, New World School of the Arts, American Dance Festival, Jacob's Pillow or have professional dance careers with major companies such as Ailey, Complexions Contemporary Dance Company and Ballet BC; with artists such as Janet Jackson, Madonna, Britney Spears and Usher; or on Broadway (42 Street/West Side Story). AFLDC alumni include Jamar Roberts (Juilliard Faculty Member/Former Principal Dancer with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater/Former Ailey Resident Choreographer); Brandon Byrant, (Britney Spears); Justin Rapaport (Juilliard/Ballet BC); Nina Lafarga (On Your Feet, Broadway).
