Since 2017, Daymi Blain has devoted her life to saving animals through Adopt and Save a Life Rescue Mission. For Daymi, there is no “preferred breed.” Every dog, every cat, every life matters. She responds wherever the need is greatest — especially along the deadly stretch of Krome Avenue, where countless pets are abandoned and left to die each year.

Daymi’s journey into rescue is deeply personal. Growing up with hardship and anxiety, she found comfort and purpose in helping animals. What began as a source of healing has become her life’s mission: nurturing the unwanted back to health, trust, and love — and giving them the forever homes they deserve.

At her 2.5-acre sanctuary, dogs are treated like family. They run free, play, and return to safe, warm beds each night. No dog is ever left outside or forgotten. Every animal is spayed/neutered, vetted, and carefully evaluated before adoption. Daymi interviews adopters, conducts home checks, and follows up to ensure her rescues are cherished members of the family. If an adoption doesn’t work out, the pet always has a guaranteed place back at the rescue — no questions asked.

Some dogs come broken, fearful, or misunderstood. If a pet cannot be safely placed, Daymi promises them a lifelong home with her. Every single dog is loved, respected, and given dignity.
