Empower Miami’s Future Creatives

Arts for Learning (A4L) is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing teaching and learning through the arts and community cultural resources. 

This year, your Give Miami Day 

gift to A4L will help provide 75 paid internships in the arts for high school students through our ArtWorks Internship Program.

ArtWorks gives teens the chance to:

• 🎨 Create art, produce, exhibit, and perform
• 💡 Develop workforce skills like communication, teamwork, and problem-solving
• 💰 Earn money for their time, talent, and hard work

ArtWorks is an incredibly unique opportunity where young people grow as artists, thinkers, leaders, and individuals who are prepared to tackle their futures with confidence. 

Your donation will ensure that more students have the opportunity to creatively grow and thrive. We not only provide the interns with the studio space to work as artists but also support them with goal setting and college and career advisement. We are proud that ArtWorks shows teens a pathway to success; how to work through obstacles in the studio, at work, and in life. Interns have received scholarships to entities such as Armour Dance Theater and acceptance letters from NWSA, Spelman, RISD, MICA, FSU, FAMU, and Mont Holyoke to name a few. The Search Institute’s Youth and Program Strengths Survey scored the program as Excellent, the highest rating.

This year we want to raise $25,000 to help support 75 ArtWorks internships in animation, architecture, creative writing, dance/theatre, film, music production, and visual art.

Our interns are hired to create and are inspired to succeed in all they do!

ABOUT A4L

As a leading source of arts integrated programs in Miami, A4L connects the arts to other subjects to support academic achievement and child development. A4L's comprehensive services include teacher and artist professional development, arts-integrated instruction, student studio programs, community art programs, student internships, and mentoring. A4L educational endeavors develop life and communication skills, build self-esteem, support literacy and problem solving, and encourage students to become self-directed learners. A4L partners with Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, and Young Audiences - A4L's national affiliate. A4L also serves as the South Florida Wolf Trap, a regional program of Wolf Trap Institute for Early LearningTM.
