Omega Activity Center Foundation, Inc,

The goals of the Omega Activity Center Foundations, Inc. (OACF) are:

• To raise money through fundraising and grants to provide financial support for selected programs, services and activities of Miami-Dade County;
• To sponsor/support a program which provides participating young men ages 9 to 17 with mentoring, educational, cultural and social activities designed to provide good life skills and prepare participants to become wholesome, successful, productive, and contributing members of our community;
• To work with other city, county and community, educational, fraternal and social agencies to achieve common goals and objectives designed to improve and enhance the lives and conditions of our citizens and community;
• To support the activities and programs of other community-based and sister organizations in serving our citizens and community.
• Provide a Summer Camp for boys ages 9-17 to include field trips and other educational and social activities.

OACF has financed the building of five (5) concrete brick houses with running water, indoor toilets and solar light kits for large families in Haiti. Through a Miami-Dade County grant, it sponsor the Lamplighters Program which mentors, counsels and support a group of 25 youths as described above. Some of the other programs and activities it supports are: Thanksgiving Turkey Baskets, Christmas Toys Give-away, Adopt-A-Highway Program, Miami Rescue Mission, Madison Middle School Toy Drive and Scholarships for graduating seniors. Additionally, it has supported and/or partnered with the following organizations: South Florida Blood Centers, Community Health Initiative, American Cancer Society, Habitat for Humanity, The United Way, Sickle Cell Disease Association and The American Diabetes Association.
