Make a difference today for someone fighting for their tomorrow.

Did you know that Miami-Dade County leads the nation in the percentage of people aged 65 and older who have Alzheimer’s disease? Many of these seniors never receive the care they need to live full and dignified lives. They struggle with unmet physical, psychological and social needs — and often become disconnected from the things and people they love.

Miami Jewish Health, with its rich 83-year history of honoring and enriching lives with empathy, purpose and grace, strives to change that for those on our campus and in our community.

As the largest provider of care to seniors in South Florida, our visionary approach to healthy aging is grounded in our EmpathiCare philosophy and the devotion of our more than 1,200 doctors, nurses, and practitioners caring for more than 10,000 people annually, offering a continuum of care that helps them live life better.

One of our specialty services includes a memory and research institute dedicated to the treatment and support of those living with Alzheimer’s disease and other neurocognitive disorders - one of only 17 recognized centers of its kind in the State of Florida.

Gifts made on Give Miami Day will support our customized programs and services for individuals living with dementia from underserved South Florida populations, who wish to remain independent and live at home.

Additionally, with the most recent events in Israel, we are reminded of the persistent and real threat of violence to Jewish communities.  Miami Jewish Health, on the merits of its name, is uniquely susceptible by those seeking to destroy, damage, and disrupt Jewish presence.  Therefore, this Give Miami Day, we are also focused on raising additional philanthropic support to ensure the safety and resilience of our community against antisemitism.

It has been said that there is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about. This Give Miami Day we ask you to join us in making an immeasurable difference in the lives of those fighting for their tomorrow.
