Miami Jazz Cooperative

A nonprofit organization

The Miami Jazz Cooperative has presented more than 680 jazz performances since its founding in 2010. Almost half of these performances have been concerts which were free to the public and the vast majority were free for students. The MJC is particularly proud of its Jazz at Jackson lunchtime concert series - now in its seventh year - at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Jazz at Jackson, initially funded by a Miami Foundation Public Space Challenge Grant, has been a resounding success, providing a welcome respite for healthcare workers, patients, and patient families. Support for the MJC on Give Miami Day and throughout the year enables us to bring jazz, America's original art form, to more and more people in our community.

How does the MJC spend its money?  These are, in order, the top items in the MJC budget:

1.  Musician fees
2.  Sound engineering
3.  Rent
4.  Social media and graphics
5.  Piano tuning
6.  Insurance

Please help the MJC continue its efforts keep world-class jazz alive and well in our community.
