While pregnancy and postpartum are usually recognized as a joyous time, unfortunately, for many mothers, it is a difficult experience. Perinatal depression goes beyond the two-week ‘baby blues’ and can start as early as conception and last throughout the first year of a child’s life. When a mom experiences perinatal depression, it can affect her child’s milestone developments, her relationships with loved ones, and her own health and well-being. Fortunately, THERE IS HOPE; perinatal depression can be treated! 

‘Moving Beyond Depression’ provides one-on-one In-Home or Virtual Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from a master's level therapist to mothers enrolled in our Healthy Start home visiting program. After completing treatment, 80.5% of women experienced depression remission and no longer had a Major Depressive Disorder! 

Unfortunately, we cannot yet provide this incredible service to all those who would benefit from this life-changing care. We need your help to reach mothers who otherwise wouldn’t have access to the mental health treatment they need.
