Museum of Miami's collections feature more than 30,000 artifacts from prehistoric discoveries to Afro-Cuban folk art. alongside an archive of over 2 million historical images and documents that fuel the work of scholars, students, and curious explorers. Our signature exhibition, Tropical Dreams: A People’s History of South Florida, takes visitors on a sweeping journey through 10,000 years of regional history. We are proudly accredited by the American Alliance of Museums and honored to be a Smithsonian Affiliate museum.
Museum of Miami – a Smithsonian Affiliate located in downtown Miami – safeguards and shares Miami stories to foster learning, inspire a sense of place and cultivate an engaged community.
