As the COVID-19 pandemic has continued to cause mounting economic hardship, the SFSPCA maintains its obligation to the horses and livestock already in our care, as well as the horses, livestock and other animals that continue to need to be rescued from cruelty, starvation or abandonment . In one cruelty case, Operation Goat, the SF SPCA livestock population increased by 98 animals who were starving, sick and in need of safe haven. In another rescue, Operation Sunrise Cows, we rescued 50 abandoned and starved cows. The South Florida SPCA rescues horses and livestock every day! The South Florida SPCA is proud to serve Miami Dade County and be the only organization that rescues horses, livestock, and other animals who have suffered cruelty through no fault of their own, provide them full rehabilitation and a second chance at a life in a proper loving home.
