Since opening our doors in October 2010, Coral Gables Art Cinema has grown into one of South Florida’s essential cultural homes for film. Hundreds of thousands of movie lovers have walked through our doors to discover independent, international, and classic cinema in a neighborhood theater that feels personal, welcoming, and alive every day of the year.
Our nonprofit mission goes far beyond showing great films. We keep ticket prices accessible, offer Pay-What-You-Can and low-cost programs for families and students, partner with local schools and community groups, and create space for conversations that reflect the diversity of Miami’s voices and stories.
Now, as we celebrate 15 years of impact, we’re preparing for our next big step: expanding into 240 Aragon Avenue with a second 90-seat state-of-the-art auditorium, larger lobby, café, and community space. This project will allow us to welcome more audiences, host more school and community screenings, and deepen our role as an economic and cultural anchor in Coral Gables and Greater Miami.
