$50,000 Goal

The Alliance for Florida’s National Parks is the official philanthropic partner for Florida’s national parks. We provide opportunities to support education, exploration, and conservation programs in Big Cypress National Preserve and Biscayne, Dry Tortugas, and Everglades National Parks.

Since our inception in 2002, we have distributed over $12 million to our state's national parks, creating impact annually in the following ways:

  • Over 70,000 students and teachers participate in field trips and virtual programs.
  • 50,000 pounds of marine debris are removed from our oceans and beaches.
  • 231,000 acres are conserved through prescribed burns.
  • 500+ sea turtles are protected through beach clean-ups and nest monitoring.
  • 600+ invasive species are removed, including pythons and tegus.

Most importantly, the parks’ education programs are completely reliant upon private donations and wouldn’t be possible without supporters like you!

Our Pillars

Education is the most significant component of our mission. The Alliance provides essential funding to education programs developed and delivered by the National Park Service at Big Cypress National Preserve and Biscayne, Dry Tortugas, and Everglades National Parks. The National Park Service implements these multi-touchpoint programs with educators, empowering teachers and students with robust hands-on learning experiences. Guided by Florida’s state standards for education, the in-class and field trip programs inform environmental consciousness and inspire future careers. Through donor-sourced resources, The Alliance provides critical funding for these impactful programs.

Exploration is also essential to our mission. We host public events and engage in an array of communication opportunities to raise awareness about Big Cypress National Preserve and Biscayne, Dry Tortugas, and Everglades National Parks. There is something for everyone at each of these destinations, and we encourage the public to explore them in person – driving interest, advocacy, and philanthropic support.

Conservation efforts that promote a healthy future for Big Cypress National Preserve and Biscayne, Dry Tortugas, and Everglades National Parks. Conservation ensures these destinations remain fascinating places to learn and explore in the absence of government funding.

Join us in making a difference today! Your support helps ensure that our state's greatest natural ecosystems are preserved and protected for generations to come.
