Dade Legal Aid's Put Something Back Project provides a variety of free civil legal services to the indigent population of Miami utilizing a strategic mix of staff attorneys, pro bono volunteer attorneys and law firm stakeholders who represent on a pro bono basis scores of low-income residents, including children, teens, families and others in dire need of legal assistance with nowhere else to turn for help during these increasingly challenging times. Put Something Back, a joint project of the courts and bar, screens and refers thousands of cases of pre-screened indigent clients to a pool of dedicated pro bono lawyers and firms across South Florida positively impacting the lives of countless residents. The project uses innovations and technology to provide free training, mentors, malpractice coverage on cases handled through the project, co-counsel, litigation support, trial tips, reduced costs, research and technical assistance, law students and consultations to volunteers.

Dade Legal Aid's Put Something Back Pro Bono Project provides a critical safety net of civil legal services to low-income residents in need of assistance with problems related to child advocacy, human sex trafficking, domestic violence, divorce, probate, guardianship, guardian ad litem, bankruptcy, real property, not-for-profit, and consumer law. The program uses pro bono resources and staff to serve underprivileged individual clients and communities in need of free legal assistance including struggling individuals, families facing eviction and foreclosure, dependent children, older foster teens aging out of the system, the elderly, persons with disabilities, veterans, nonprofits, artists and startups.
