Centro Cultural Brasil-USA da Florida

The Centro Cultural Brasil-USA da Flórida (CCBU) is located at 999 Brickell Avenue, Suite 410, Miami, FL 33131. Its Honorary President is the Consul General of Brazil, Ambassador André Odenbreit Carvalho, and its President is Maria Inês Dal Borgo. The Cultural Center is administered by a volunteer Board of Directors.

For more than 26 years, CCBU has been inserting the Brazilian culture in Miami's vibrant cultural mix. Through partnerships with local universities, schools, cultural centers, public libraries and events we shared in numerous programs the richness and diversity of the Brazilian culture. From 2005 to 2008 the Brazil Pavilions produced by CCBU were a lively feature at the Miami Book Fair International. Our cultural festivals at the Broward County and the Miami-Dade County Public Libraries Systems were opportunities to share and teach about Brazilian music, art, traditions, cinema and gastronomy. The exhibition "12Stadiums / 12Cities: Brazil2014, World Soccer Destination" held at the Coral Gables Museum from June to September 2014 showed the extraordinary diversity of Brazil, represented by the twelve host cities. In September 2017 , CCBU produced and presented the exhibition "MIAMI MIX: How Brazil Became Part of Miami", a multi media exhibition that showed the many Brazilian contributions to the urban space and the culture of Miami. In 2020, CCBU published its firs book: BRAZILinMIAMI, Discover the Brazilian Elements in the Miami Mix, a follow-up of the Miami Mix exhibition, the book register the many Brazilian elements very well integrated in Miami. Also in 2020, in response to the pandemic challenges, CCBU created FLI MIAMI - the digital Brazilian literature festival, presented in November.
We are very proud to have participated and supported the first bilingual Portuguese-English program at the Miami-Dade Public School, at Ada Merritt.
CCBU has become a reference in Brazilian culture and have received several awards.
