The COVID-19 pandemic and the related financial and employment crises have disproportionately affected our low-income patients and their families. Their needs are urgent, immediate, and ongoing for the foreseeable future.
Early in the pandemic we created an Emergency Assistance Fund to provide direct assistance to our most vulnerable patients and clients, recognizing that housing and nutrition play key roles in overall health. Hundreds of individuals and families have been given food vouchers and received urgent housing assistance including mortgage, rent, or utility payments.
The CDC Eviction Moratorium is set to expire January 1st, which is expected to trigger a major housing crisis as millions of renters across the nation will not be able to pay months of missed payments.
Florida's Eviction Ban has expired, leaving our patients with no protections as of New Year's Day. Your donation will provide our patients in need with urgent housing assistance to keep them in their homes.
