The ACLU of Florida has led our state forward in the long march for democracy, justice, and equality for more than 50 years. Through every decade, we have defended new challenges to our civil rights and liberties - whether the issue is voting rights, criminal justice reform, immigrants' rights, racial justice, reproductive freedom, LGBTQ+ equality, or privacy- and expanded the promise of our democracy to those who have been systematically denied it. And in the past few years, facing historical challenges to our nation's democracy, we've worked with advocates, volunteers, supporters, and partners to secure and defend voting rights, advance progressive criminal justice reform, and protect the rights of immigrants. We are deeply committed to working alongside impacted people and communities that are on the frontlines, addressing the most pressing civil rights issues in our state to make Florida a more equitable and just place.

Through litigation, legislation, public education, and organizing, the ACLU of Florida is building a building a broad-based movement to defend civil liberties in Miami-Dade County and throughout Florida. We are guided by our values of justice, liberty, democracy, non-partisanship, equity, and inclusion.
