Our purpose is to empower the youth of our entire community by providing educational leadership and social entrepreneurship programs based on empathy, compassionate leadership, inclusion and equity. Our collaborators are Outward Bound and Peace First, two internationally respected organizations providing world-class programs for character education and social entrepreneurship.
Students learn to identify core issues, find common ground with others; enhance self awareness and communication for innovation and collaboration; systems design thinking, practices for mental/emotional wellness; healthy use of tech. We continually offer new courses and workshops in response to student needs and interests.
We are now piloting an exciting new course: an introduction to design-build skills for sustainability taught by a university professor of architecture for the Green Champions club at MAST Academy, in partnership with Good Natured. Students will be prototyping and building designs beginning next semester.

HELP YOUNG PEOPLE BECOME AGENTS OF CHANGE FOR A BETTER WORLD
Youth Lead Change teaches compassionate leadership and social entrepreneurship to empower young people to become positive changemakers. We offer young people ages 13-25 workshops, mentorships, and grants to create social and environmental initiatives. Our collaborator Peace First provides a free educational online platform to create and grow initiatives.
Youth Lead Change Awards send promising young leaders to North Carolina Outward Bound School scholarship courses to deepen their personal insights and abilities.
