$0 Goal

WVN teaches life skills, computer, and job training for survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, and other socio-economic challenges. Participants receive the resources, education, and critical-thinking skills training necessary to secure meaningful and gainful employment.

The effects of crime can persist for years with life-long implications for some victims. The physical and emotional toll, combined with day-to-day challenges, points to the need to support victims and their families to avoid or mitigate some of the long-term negative impacts. WVN's outreach contributes significantly to community well-being. The meaningful integration of assistance and support for clients and community safety strategies leads to increased public well-being and a host of other positive results such as considerable cost savings, improvements in public health, and increased confidence in the criminal justice system. WVN's goal is to support community integration by offering training for clients to become financially independent through employment.

Having a hybrid environment and platform for training with various courses, such as Introduction to Computers and Information Technologies, Social Media as a Business, and more, WVN's course duration ranges from 1-3 months, after which participants are ready for their IC3 certification which will allow them to land an entry-level position. Some clients even develop the confidence and creativity to pursue their business ideas through training designed to equip them for life.

Given that the COVID-19 pandemic has widened racial inequities in education, healthcare, and the workforce for Blacks and Hispanics, particularly facing more economical/health insecurity, WVN's mission is now more critical than ever.

 We have created over 30 programs.
 We have partnered with more than 25 nonprofit organizations and charities, like Lotus House, Community Action & Human Services Department (CVAC).
