National Voices for Equality Education and Enlightenment Inc

Established nearly 15 years ago, NVEEE is led by a Black queer woman who's a bullying prevention expert, a suicide attempt survivor, and is recognized as an LGBTQ+ activist and community leader.

Our mission is to prevent bullying, violence, and suicide through direct service, mentoring and prevention education. At NVEEE, we’re dedicated to nurturing the next generation of resilient, socially responsible leaders in South Florida’s diverse communities. We prioritize empowering youth of color, LGBTQIA+ youth, and those from underresourced backgrounds. Annually, we reach over 350 young people through transformative programs that foster leadership, mentorship, and life skills. Our initiatives include:

    1.    Peace Ambassador Leadership Program (PALP): A year-long journey where students develop leadership and life skills, engage in service-learning projects, and become community upstanders.

    2.    Peace Ambassador Leadership Summit (PALS): A seven-day summit on university campuses, offering high school students immersive leadership experiences, college prep, and social entrepreneurship projects. It culminates in a graduation and offers paths to continued leadership roles.

    3.    AFFIRM: Tailored for LGBTQ+ youth aged 15-24, providing leadership opportunities, mentorship, and resources. Participants become AFFIRM Ambassadors, leading impactful community service projects.

    4.    College Internship Program: A comprehensive experience in non-profit operations for students passionate about social change. Interns gain hands-on experience in program planning, community outreach, and non-profit management.
