We are proud to lead the collective voice of the NTM community. Our advocacy has made NTM a priority with leading scientists, government agencies, and industry to ensure the needs of NTM patients are understood.

NTM Info & Research started in 2003 in Miami-Dade County. It was founded by a patient and resident who, by her own experience, had the vision to connect and educate people with this rare pulmonary disease. Florida has the second-highest number of cases of pulmonary NTM disease in the country. There are an estimated 27,001 cases in Florida with an annual cost of $243,009,000. Nationally, there are more than 220,000 cases. Currently, we have three support groups for Florida patients.

By supporting innovative research, working with patients and support groups, engaging our constituencies to increase awareness of the disease, providing education opportunities for patients and healthcare providers, and demonstrating leadership at all levels to meet our goals, we strive to accelerate the development of new treatments that will help patients, and build a stronger network of doctors who are well-versed in treating this disease.
