Miami Music Project's Children's Orchestras meet five days a week for over two hours each day at six Miami-Dade County sites. Students receive two hours of music classes, homework help, and snacks. Group classes and large ensemble rehearsals include instruction on flute, clarinet, oboe, trumpet, trombone, violin, cello, viola, double bass, snare drum, bass drum, and xylophone, amounting to over 360 hours of musical programming annually. Passionate, dedicated Teaching Artists instruct all classes, including members of the Miami City Ballet Orchestra, South Florida Symphony Orchestra, and Ensamble 7/4.

Each student receives multiple performance opportunities throughout the year. Concerts are held at community chapter schools, the Wertheim Center for Performing Arts at FIU, the University of Miami, the Miami Springs Farmers Market, the North Beach Bandshell, and additional Miami locations.

100% of Miami Music Project graduates have gone on to higher education. This fall, our graduates will attend such institutions as Syracuse University, Stanford University, Berklee Conservatory, Lynn University, University of Florida, Nova University, and Miami-Dade College.

"We are grateful for all the hard work, all the patience that our teachers put into this program to help us grow in the knowledge of music. This could not be possible without the help and support that we get from donors! One dollar = One smile." - Fabiana, Miami Music Project Student
