Hope for Miami recently accepted the challenge to adopt a teen program serving youth who reside in Little Havana. This program, called "Promise Youth" has been supported by the 305 Club community service group composed of students from Belen Jesuit Preparatory School and Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart. These young people serve as mentors to our youth and provide regular special events activities as well as regular volunteering. The focus of Give Miami Day 2021 fund-raising for Hope for Miami is to support the Promise Youth program. Note that our organization has been able to provide in-person programming at our partner sites all throughout the pandemic. Although our procedures and environment have been different due to COVID precautions, our programs continue to deliver many memorable moments. Yes, the program looked different (requiring smaller groups, continued social distancing, or other best practices) and at times virtual workshops. But we know that because of the support, determination, resiliency, and community, we say today that we as a Hope For Miami Family, together, we will continue to serve and meet our communities' needs during and after the pandemic. As our families and communities continue to be affected by closures, we plan to continue to be an organization that stands up and serves the communities and their needs. We can't do this alone, and through our service together, we will able to allow our families to regain absolute stability in their life.
