GRACE (Grove Rights and Community Equity) is a fair and affordable housing coalition composed of over a dozen Coconut Grove churches, civic associations, nonprofit organizations, small businesses, tenants, and homeowners. Together, we represent and advocate for the residents of Historic Little Bahamas of Coconut Grove.

Incorporated in August 2019, GRACE was born from the Coconut Grove Ministerial Alliance’s Housing and Community Development Task Force. Our mission is to halt and remedy the ongoing displacement, mass eviction, and resegregation of vulnerable Black tenants and homeowners. We also work to negotiate community benefits agreements, protect against harmful municipal land use and zoning policies, and promote thoughtful, equitable economic development.

GRACE is a unified voice and collective effort to preserve the people, culture, and history of the Little Bahamas of Coconut Grove, while ensuring that all development reflects the values and needs of the community.
