Florida Breast Cancer Coalition Research Foundation

The Florida Breast Cancer Foundation (FBCF) is dedicated to ending the suffering caused by breast cancer through research, education, advocacy, living expense, mammogram, and medical item programs. FBCF is rated 4-Stars by Charity Navigator, the premier charity rating organization in the country, for a fourth year in a row for demonstrating strong financial health-less than 20% of all nonprofits nationwide achieve this status. FBCF received a perfect score of 100% for Transparency and Accountability, and most recently, a 100% rating for our leadership and adaptability during Covid-19. We responded to the pandemic by creating an additional rapid response funding opportunity, the FBCF Covid-19 Emergency Assistance Grant, & distributed $50,000 to nonprofits for breast cancer patients currently in treatment, impacted by Covid-19. We continued our regular granting cycle while adding this opportunity. FBCF exceeds industry standards and outperforms others in our cause making FBCF the top-rated breast cancer organization in the state, and is among an elite number of breast cancer organizations in the country to receive this score.  FBCF offers a virtual support group, Live, Learn, Laugh for breast cancer fighters & survivors, and our signature education program, MASS, aims to reduce late-stage diagnoses in underserved African American and other minority communities through education and mammograms. FBCF transitioned the in-person program to virtual during Covid-19, and is now hybrid. Our volunteer-based advocacy arm works statewide to ensure quality healthcare for all and sufficient funding for research and the Mary Brogan Program (BCCEDP), which provides 15,000+ screenings to the underserved. Our growing volunteer base helps drive us, providing a robust network of advocates & supporters. Funds from the End Breast Cancer license plate support our breast cancer research & education programs. Thrift store partner, Pickups for Breast Cancer, supports our mission through donations of clothing/household goods. All funds raised stay in Florida.
