CodePath

A nonprofit organization

In 2020, CodePath launched our computer science programming at Florida International University with a course on Android mobile development. Since then, we have trained over 470 Miami-based students, integrating multiple CodePath courses into Florida International University, Miami Dade and Florida Memorial's computer science curriculum. Our courses arm students with industry-relevant technical skills, including web and mobile development, cybersecurity and technical interview preparation. Since participating in CodePath's programs, our Miami-based students are now equipped to solve complex engineering problems, build applications at top tech companies such as Salesforce, Square, and Microsoft, and give back to our community.

We are excited to expand our impact in South Florida through meaningful partnerships with universities, non-profits and corporations that can employ local talent. Our vision is to turn Miami into a robust tech talent hub so that every aspiring student, regardless of background, will become a technology leader, builder or founder.

Mission

At CodePath, we believe free access to relevant, hands-on technical training, career guidance, mentors, and community-created by engineers, for engineers-can help give tomorrow's technology leaders the edge they need to succeed at the highest levels of the tech industry. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we bring together employers, students, and colleges to eliminate inequities in tech education, diversify the field, and provide underrepresented students with a path toward economic mobility. Our programming centers the needs and success of Black, Indigenous, Latino/a, and low-income Computer Science students. We strategically partner with CS Departments at Colleges and Universities with the highest enrollment numbers for these groups.
