Ally's Animal Project

A nonprofit organization

Hi, I'm Ally Gold, founder and director of Ally's Animal Project, and I have always loved animals. When I was 12 years old I decided to turn my passion for animals into a community service project. I fostered my first dog, Bruno. Bruno was picked up as a stray after being hit by a car. He was scheduled for amputation of his left hind leg the very next day. Instead of him having the amputation, I was able to give Bruno a temporary home and the medical attention he needed. I took him to our private veterinarian and cared for him night and day for four months until his surgical site could fully heal. The most fulfilling part of my journey with Bruno was finding him a forever home. I found him an adoptive family in New Jersey where he is living happily today. I was overwhelmed by the generosity of my classmates and local community members that donated funds towards Bruno's care. I thought, "how many animals are out there like Bruno? And How many could we save if we provided loving people with a framework to help?" This was the birth of Ally's Animal Project.

I decided to start making and selling jewelry to raise money for animals in need. I knew I needed to find a meaningful and deserving cause to help pets in need. In the midst of my search, COVID-19 struck. As businesses closed down, and people lost their jobs, it became increasingly difficult for pet owners to afford pet food and supplies. I decided to use the funds of the organization to send a 6 months pet food supply to those in need. I. I created an Instagram page @Allys_Animal_Project and website www.allysanimalproject.org and immediately began advertising free pet food to those in need. Today, I have sent food to over 100 families in 10 different states across the country. I'm ready to expand my project and continue sending food to anyone in need.
