Support TFA Miami-Dade

Since 2003, Teach For America Miami-Dade has partnered with schools and communities to grow a collective group of diverse leaders moving the needle toward educational equity. We believe that one day, all students across Miami-Dade will have access to an excellent education. To reach this vision, we find, develop, and train the most promising leaders to teach in Title I schools across Miami-Dade’s low-income communities. After their initial two-year commitment to the classroom, we support alumni through mission-aligned career paths in education and every sector and field that shapes the broader systems in which schools operate. 

As you may know, I’m on Teach For America Miami-Dade's Board of Directors, an organization I count as one of the most effective I’ve seen.

For more than 20+ years, TFA has been a powerful proving ground for what is possible when exceptional leaders partner with students and communities to improve educational outcomes.

• Last school year, students taught by TFA teachers tripled their proficiency in Math and

ELA.

• Another study showed students 54 extra days of learning in Math and 18 in Reading being taught by a TFA (vs. a non-TFA) teacher.

• A third showed 100% of partner principals said they’d hire a TFA teacher again.
