Support That Strengthens Families

This Give Miami Day, Citrus Family Care Network (Citrus FCN) is raising funds to provide practical support for children and families involved in the child welfare system, with a focus on recently reunified families and relative and non-relative caregivers.

For families working toward stability and permanency, everyday needs can create added challenges. Recently reunified families may be rebuilding their households as children return home, while relative and non-relative caregivers may unexpectedly take on the responsibility of caring for a child. Many of the resources these families need fall outside traditional child welfare funding and available support.

Funds raised through Give Miami Day will give Citrus FCN greater flexibility to help families address these needs, whether that means household essentials, clothing, food, school supplies, items for children or other practical resources that help create greater stability at home
