New Footprints a New Future

New Footprints a New Future, Inc. was established by the founder Jacqueline Jones' personal experience of an incarcerated loved one. Research have shown that children of incarcerated parents are likely to enter the criminal justice system. To curtail this cycle, she is compelled to educate, empower and ensure that the footprints of the next generation is equipped to follow the path of success.

Approximately around the age of 12, she had a teenaged cousin who committed a crime that led him to a life sentence in the Florida state prison system. As you could imagine, the verdict left her family distraught and in disbelief. Her cousins' parents and siblings were emotionally traumatized and eventually had to come to grips with the fate of their son and brother..

During her senior year in high school she volunteered in the prison ministry through her local church. The team visited the Turner Guilford Correctional Center on the weekends. They provided hope and healing through bible studies with incarcerated men. The more she attended the services, the more she enjoyed the fellowship.

Amazingly, a spark ignited in her heart, and she became passionate about impacting the lives of inmates and their families. In her spare time, she periodically visits her cousin in prison where they catch up on their life's journey. She also volunteers in the prison ministry through her local church. She facilitates small group studies with incarcerated women at Homestead Correctional Institution. She is amazed with the spiritual freedom and breakthrough the women experience. She counts it a blessing to be apart of their growth and transformation! She is an educator with Miami Dade County Public Schools. She has taught elementary and middle school students for over 15 years and has served in her community for countless years.
