Help us grow our Miami Dade Organizer Support Cohort to support crucial community organizers through out Miami Dade.

TOC, along with community partners, created a year-long cohort to build capacity for change-making organizers, organizations, and Miami Dade through peer-learning, one on one mentorship, and training workshops.

We will inspire organizing leadership to stay in economic and environmental justice work for the long haul by equipping organizers with tools and exercises that they can practice in their respective communities.

Currently the majority of racial justice and economic justice organizations do not have the capacity internally to continuously develop community organizers well. Most of our organizations are underfunded and understaffed and out of survival, managers are not able to provide ongoing training to community engagement staff.

To develop and engage leaders, organizations could continue to invest financially in hiring new community leadership hoping that they will stick around, however for a fraction of the cost, we can invest in current organizers to feel invested in and stay in the work for the long haul. Experienced organizers will engage many more community members with TOC’s coaching.

TOC is committed to liberating organizers by supporting their growth, joy, and health, so they can lead movements that liberate our communities. We cultivate leaders through personalized, holistic coaching, training, and consulting, building a future where justice and liberation are the foundation of every community.

TOC works with organizers and organizations that want to build an organized base of engaged community members that is sustained beyond a single event, a campaign, or grant funding. TOC helps organizers connect their work more genuinely to the people most impacted by the problem and solutions.

TOC provides group training, specialized one on one coaching, and annual retreats. We bring our collective 70 years of experience to work alongside organizers and organizations on specific projects.
