Parkway Baptist Church

Parkway Baptist Church comprises mainly persons of Caribbean, Central America and USA heritage. While the congregation is mainly of Jamaica descent, it operates as a welcoming and integrated whole. The church operates a school for children from 0 to 5 years old. This has been a center piece of the church's outreach ministry for over 40 years and generation of students have benefitted from the loving Christian approach to education. This has resulted in succeeding generations of children starting their early education at Parkway Baptist Church Wee Care School. The church has a strong focus on ministering to children, youth and young people. This is climaxed by its summer camp program and an annual youth outreach retreat which provide training and inspiration in important age-appropriate areas of development and spirituality. There are groups for effective adult involvement through the Men's Ministry, the Women's Ministry, the Music Ministry featuring a full-time music minister, and the Seniors Club. Parkway Baptist Church is very community oriented as evident in its involvement in community programs such as Feeding the Homeless, minor construction projects, engagement in the civic life of the communities we serve and fellowship with other congregations across denominational lines. Our focus on mission also includes international outreach through projects focusing on the needy abroad in addition to participation in international Christian gatherings of youth and adults. These help to broaden our appreciation for persons in different settings and value the opportunities for advancement in the United States of America.
