Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church is a faith-based nonprofit organization committed to strengthening individuals, families, and communities throughout Perrine and South Miami-Dade County. The organization addresses critical social, educational, economic, and wellness needs through collaborative partnerships and innovative programs designed to promote self-sufficiency, improve quality of life, and create opportunities for sustainable community transformation.

The organization is led by Senior Pastor/Teacher Dr. Remiel Lockwood, whose leadership is grounded in extensive experience in organizational management, financial stewardship, and community engagement. Dr. Lockwood holds a Bachelor of Business Management, a Master of Divinity in Leadership, and a Doctor of Ministry in Leadership and Pastoral Counseling. With more than eighteen years of executive leadership experience, he provides strategic oversight for organizational development, program implementation, fiscal management, and leadership training.

With 107 years of service in the community, Mount Moriah has established a strong foundation of relationships, trust, and collaborative engagement. Through Dr. Lockwood's volunteer service as a Chaplain with the Miami-Dade County Sheriff's Office, the organization has strengthened relationships with law enforcement, first responders, and other community stakeholders. These partnerships enhance Mount Moriah's capacity to support first responders and their families, participate in crisis response, promote community wellness, and develop initiatives that foster greater trust between residents and public safety agencies.
