DOGS ON THE MOVE by Pawsitive4LIFE, Inc. was created in November 2011 to rescue animals from high kill shelters in South Florida and transport them safely to 501(c)3 rescues and no kill shelters throughout the United States, where they will be re-homed. To date, we have transported more than 6500+ animals, nearly all of whom are in permanent and loving homes. We have also began adopting locally as we have found some of our homeless pets perfect matches are close by. While many pets are adopted and rescued, many more face the possibility of euthanasia if they are not re-homed quickly from the shelter. The Dogs on the Move Program works hand in hand with the shelter's rescue and/or transport staff to get as many dogs and cats on the road as possible to quality new families. We work with wonderful Transport Partners from Kansas to Vermont and from South Carolina to Massachusetts and we are always open to invite new partners to join. Many of our partners are 501(c)(3) rescues that work with a network of fosters prior to adoptions, and others are no-kill shelters that are able to house and give vet care to animals prior to adoptions. All of our Transport Partners are fully checked as being reputable with high standards prior to pets being taken to them. We meet the Transport Partners ourselves and take photos and tour their facilities. We ask for updates and photos of our pets from them in return, particularly when the pets are adopted and in their new homes. Please be advised that DOGS ON THE MOVE by Pawsitive4LIFE collaborates with numerous 501(c)(3) rescues and no-kill shelters in a effort to save as many animals as possible.

In 2021 DOGS ON THE MOVE began rescuing even more critically ill and injured pups than ever before! These cases range from gravely ill dogs infected with the deadly parvovirus, to life threatening parasite infestation and malnourishment, to broken legs/hips caused by vehicular or other blunt force traumas. Each of our dogs are provided the care needed no matter what! To date each pups saved has been able to recover and lead a happy life!
