$42,000 Goal

Members of the Rotary Club of Key Biscayne recently visited NPH, a Charitable Organization in the Dominican Republic that houses and cares for over 200 children from Haiti and the DR ranging in age from 2 to 18.  Many of these children have severe illnesses and disabilities.

The only vehicle this facility has for transporting children who are sick with cancer to their radiation appointments over an hour away is a dilapidated old van that is unsafe, barely functional and far from sanitary. Pictures of the interior of the vehicle are included below. KB Rotary Club is spearheading an effort to buy a new 16 seater van for this incredible organization! We need to raise $42,000 for this effort, and every dollar helps!

KB Rotary is devoting 100% of the monies raised in our 2023 Give Miami Day effort to purchase a van to transport children with cancer and other serious illnesses to radiation therapy and crucial doctors appointments.  Thank you for your generosity.

Since 1986 the Rotary Club of Key Biscayne Foundation has supported worthwhile programs in Education, Health, Humanitarian, Environmental, and Clean Water/Sanitation. The projects are sourced from members and other Rotary Clubs locally and world-wide. The delivery of these projects is assured by local Rotarians who are involved from the moment the initiatives are conceived and executed.

Our efforts have changed countless lives in Miami and through local charities world-wide. Projects include: Anti-malaria nets for indigenous tribes in Venezuela, Peru and Venezuela; food distribution in Liberty City during the pandemic; battered women's shelters; native tree planting in Crandon park; beach clean-ups; scholarships to college bound seniors; Christmas in July for Liberty City youth and families; drinking water wells in Nicaragua; rebuilding schools in earthquake torn Haiti; hurricane relief; Braille machines for blind students; specialized playground for mentally disabled youth; programs for autistic children and more.

The Rotary Club of Key Biscayne is proud and honored to serve the Miami Dade-Community for over 35 years with its most active period during the recent pandemic. Your donations are destined to serve many, many more needs today, and in the future.
