Support UHP’ Community-Driven efforts towards food justice, healthy streets and public spaces, age-friendly communities, and building a culture of health equity!

Your donation can help us support our community outreach team in some of the following ways:

• $25 Supports Wi-Fi access for two (2) Community Liaisons (CLs) for a month
• $50 Helps us build a Community Outreach Kit with everything a CL needs to engage their community
• $100 Funds technology support (i.e., tablet, computer, etc.) for one (1) CL
• $500 Funds a minimum of two (2) capacity building opportunities for CLs
• $1000 Funds 50+ hours of community outreach activities by CLs

Help Urban Health Partnerships (UHP) Create Healthier Communities

At UHP, we are dedicated to ensuring that every individual has access to opportunities for a healthier life. During Give Miami Day, November 13-16, we invite you to join us in supporting our initiatives and programs such as our Community Liaison Framework, empowering residents to advocate for the changes they need and want in their communities.

In addition to individual giving, we have a corporate and organizational giving campaign. Businesses can either sponsor or “adopt” UHP and encourage employees to donate. Please review our sponsorship options and reach out to us if you want to learn more or to create something unique that meets your giving goals.

Your Donations Will Enable Us To:

1. Strengthen Programs and Initiatives Like Our Community Liaison Framework: Your contribution will help us expand our training opportunities for residents, providing them with the tools and knowledge to lead community-wide health equity initiatives effectively.
2. Teach the CL Framework: We aim to create a train-the-trainer model to educate other organizations and government agencies, ensuring that residents are actively involved in decision-making processes and community empowerment.
3. Advocate for Our Communities: Your support will enable us to increase our advocacy efforts on issues that profoundly impact our communities such as healthy streets and public spaces, access to healthy foods and quality healthcare and more issues that matter.
4. Support Local Organizations: We'll provide training and guidance to local organizations, helping them incorporate health and equity principles into their practices and programs, thus serving communities with the greatest needs more effectively.

Our mission is to invest in our communities by co-designing sustainable change and promoting equity and well-being across the lifespan.

At UHP, we strive to drive real, community-driven change by advocating for:

⦿ The right to grow up and live in a safe and healthy environment, achieved through initiatives like Activate Overtown and Get Moving Miami Gardens, creating safer and more accessible streets and open spaces for everyone.

⦿ The right to healthy food, ensuring affordable and nutritious options are available within a short distance through our Community Health Hub and Go for Healthy Growth projects.

⦿ The right to age with dignity and enjoyment, building inclusive systems for people of all ages to live, work, and play. We collaborate with the Miami-Dade Age-Friendly Initiative and Partnerships for Healthy Aging in Place to achieve this goal.

⦿ The right to live in an equitable community where every member has the opportunity to thrive.
