Give Miami Day: MORAES

Join me in supporting MORAES, a local nonprofit dedicated to protecting South Florida’s marine ecosystems while creating opportunities for people to get involved in marine science and conservation. Through applied research, education, volunteer opportunities, and community outreach, MORAES works to connect people of all backgrounds with the environment around them and encourage a more sustainable South Florida.

As the Outreach and Conservation Intern for MORAES, I’ve had the opportunity to be directly involved in this mission through community events, educational programs, conservation projects, and outreach efforts. One of my favorite parts of working with MORAES has been seeing how many different ways people can get involved, whether it’s volunteering at a beach cleanup, learning about our local marine life, participating in citizen science, or simply becoming more aware of how their actions can impact the environment.

Being a small nonprofit, support from our community makes a huge difference in what MORAES is able to accomplish. Donations help us continue hosting educational and outreach programs, supporting conservation and research projects, and creating more opportunities for our community to get involved.

I’m incredibly grateful to be a part of MORAES and everything we are working toward. Please consider supporting us this Give Miami Day and helping us continue protecting and connecting our community with South Florida’s marine environment!
