When high school seniors participate in the Miami-Dade County Public Schools (MDCPS) Summer Youth Internship Program (SYIP) and receive a nationally recognized EKG Technician certification, everything changes. While many of their peers will graduate high school struggling to find entry-level hourly jobs, work-study positions, or extra income, these Summer Youth Interns will walk straight into a healthcare career. They will be qualified to work alongside medical teams and earn a living wage before their first semester of college even begins.

That is the power of rapid, short-term professional development: turning weeks of focused training into immediate, life-changing income.

Across South Florida, thousands of youth, young adults, parents, and reentry individuals are ready to work hard, but they lack fast, affordable access to industry credentials that unlock higher-paying jobs. Multi-year degree programs and expensive trade schools leave too many behind. Oluwadoyinsolami Development Incorporated is changing that paradigm by delivering short-term, low-barrier career pathways that translate directly into economic mobility and self-sufficiency today.

This Give Miami Day, we are launching an ambitious $300,000 campaign to scale these rapid-income opportunities and open doors for hundreds of local residents across four high-demand, entry-level tracks:
  • Cardiac Monitoring & EKG Technology: Expanding our proven healthcare pipeline, providing participants with the test preparation methodology, materials, and exam funding required to land immediate employment in hospitals, clinics, and diagnostic centers.
  • Doula & Maternal Health Care: Training community birth workers and maternal health advocates to provide vital prenatal, childbirth, and postpartum support, filling a critical gap in regional maternal health while building sustainable, self-employed careers.
  • Technical Theater & Production: Equipping emerging local technicians with technical theater workshops, covering sound, lighting design, video projection, and stage management, paired with hands-on mentorship and paid live event production experience.

  • Art Expressions & Creative Economy: Equipping local artists, youth, seniors, and creatives with practical tools to turn creative talents into profitable businesses and fun activities for youth.

  • Eating for Health: Exploring is Food Medicine? Access and resources to vital culturally relevant information regarding educational wellness. Participants are guided on where to locally source sustainable herbs and produce.

Why Give on Give Miami Day?

Your donation doesn't just fund a class; it funds an immediate economic shift for a South Florida family. By lowering barriers to entry and providing direct stipend support, training supplies, and exam fee coverage, we ensure that every participant who enrolls has what they need to finish, get certified, and start earning.

  • $125: Covers essential workshop supplies and training materials for an art entrepreneur.

  • $250: Funds an exam voucher and training materials for a Cardiac Monitoring participant.

  • $800 STEM Innovation Sponsorship: Supplies one young learner with a complete hands-on STEM & Creative Play kit, interactive building materials, and workshop series access to develop early problem-solving, design, and engineering skill

  • $1000: Sponsors an Eating for health session.

  • $1,389+: Serves as a Workforce Catalyst Sponsor, funding an entry level participant in maternity care, Theater or industry entry level training.

  • $2,000: Core Operations & Sustainability. Behind every successful workshop, certification, and youth program is a strong, compliant operational foundation. This powers the essential infrastructure, from data management and technology to compliance, insurance, and participant logistics, that allows our programs to run safely and seamlessly across South Florida. Investing in our operations ensures our doors stay open, our programs remain accessible, and our community impact remains sustainable.

  • $3,000: Sponsors a participant in a fully covered healthcare test prep, that includes, academy attire, course materials, examination, and career prep.

  • $4,290: Sponsors a Digital, Financial Literacy or Designer Workshop, providing the participant with complete training materials, financial planning software access, and hands-on digital tools to build credit literacy, master modern technology, and manage personal or micro-business finances.

  • $6,500  Capacity & Impact Measurement Fund: Establishes secure digital participant intake, data management software, and outcome-tracking systems to measure workshop attendance, certification completion rates, and long-term participant progress across South Florida.

Help us build a South Florida where everyone has fast, fair access to skill-building, living wages, and economic independence. Invest in short-term training with long-term impact on Give Miami Day!
