Paw Patrol Animal Rescue and Sanctuary
501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization | Miami, Florida

At Paw Patrol Animal Rescue and Sanctuary, our mission is simple but powerful: to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome abandoned, abused, neglected, and surrendered dogs. As a foster-based nonprofit, we rely entirely on a network of compassionate volunteers who open not only their homes, but also their hearts, to animals in need.

Every dog we rescue is cared for in a loving foster home across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties. We provide all veterinary care, medications, food, and supplies, while our fosters provide the one thing no rescue can purchase: love, patience, and the opportunity to heal.

Co-founded by Cristy Torres and Ana Lopez, Paw Patrol was built from a shared commitment to giving vulnerable dogs a second chance. What began as a grassroots effort has grown into a respected rescue organization powered by dedicated volunteers and foster families. Since our founding, we have placed more than 1,500 pets into loving forever homes and have helped countless others through partnerships with fellow rescue organizations.

At any given time, we care for approximately 40 dogs, many arriving from unimaginable circumstances. Some are victims of abuse or neglect, while others are abandoned, surrendered, or rescued from overcrowded shelters. We regularly assist with cruelty, hoarding, and emergency cases, providing lifesaving medical treatment, rehabilitation, and the time each dog needs before finding the right family.

The need in South Florida continues to grow, and so does our commitment. Every day, we answer calls about puppies abandoned in boxes, injured dogs left on the streets, senior pets discarded in their final years, and animals with significant medical or behavioral needs. We step in when we can because every life matters.

The transformation of these dogs—from frightened and forgotten to healthy, confident, and deeply loved—is what inspires everything we do. Our community of supporters, adopters, fosters, volunteers, and donors makes those transformations possible.

Every dollar donated goes directly toward lifesaving veterinary care, food, medications, transportation, boarding, and the daily needs of the dogs in our care. As a 100% volunteer-run organization, we are committed to ensuring that every contribution has the greatest possible impact.

We may be small, but we are relentless in our mission. We are their voice. We are their second chance.
