Grassroots Impact & Proven Workforce Outcomes

CMG WEBSITE

What started as hands-on workshops in cultural centers across Miami-Dade has grown into a powerful movement for youth empowerment, creative equity, and career placement.

Our programs deliver technical mastery, high-level exposure, and direct pathways to employment:

Proven Workforce Success & Studio Access: Through our workforce readiness initiatives, our youth participants produced a commercial asset for the Lotus House Women’s Shelter via the NBCU Creative Impact Lab. We capped off this industry experience with an insider tour of the NBCUniversal Telemundo studios, and program graduates have successfully advanced to work directly for NBCUniversal.

Global Access & Representation: Taking local talent to the world stage, we brought our youth delegation to the prestigious Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in France, connecting emerging creators directly with global industry leaders.

Real-World Apprenticeships: We lead impactful media initiatives within Miami-Dade County Public Schools, where students from Miami Senior High served as hands-on apprentices—working directly alongside our production team to deliver key media assets for cornerstone institutions like The Miami Foundation.

Specialized Technical Intensives: In partnership with Genesis Hopeful Haven, we hosted a 5-week filmmaking intensive for foster youth covering Know Your Lens, Lighting 101, Sound Engineering, and Raw Footage Editing—culminating in a red-carpet community premiere.

Community Enrichment: We collaborate with local youth organizations like Urgent Inc. during their Spring Break Bootcamp to bring high-impact media arts training to rising talent.

The Future: A Sustainable Micro-Campus in Little Haiti

We have accomplished all of this nomadic-style—operating across Miami without a permanent home base. Establishing a dedicated micro-campus will be a total game-changer for our organization and the youth we serve.

As CMG expands its reach, our next major milestone is building a sustainable micro-campus and artistic incubator in Little Haiti to serve as our permanent anchor.

Because climate change disproportionately impacts underserved neighborhoods, we are taking a holistic, environmentally conscious approach to development. We are collaborating with StereoTank—an architectural design studio exploring the intersection of art, sound, architecture, and sustainability—to build a green incubator space dedicated to equity, creative expression, and community resilience.

Your Give Miami Day support directly funds the technical tools, meals, transportation, and hands-on guidance that empower Miami’s next generation of storytellers and media leaders.

Mission

Creative Media Group is a Talent Discovery and Film Lab for underrepresented youth. We host workshops in collaboration with foster care programs and cultural organizations in and around Miami-Dade. We provide mentorship and enrichment opportunities for youth ages 16-21. We have been successful at hosting countless experiences that enrich the lives of young people. We provide career exposure, to a wider set of job possibilities and the clear Framework to learn media skills so that our young people can claim their role in this economy . We engage young people through a creative curriculum and prepare them for a technical career in Film, Television, and Digital Content Creation. We strive to change the cultural narrative by altering the way we do business behind the lens, all while creating opportunities for future Filmmakers and Directors from otherwise underrepresented communities. We have big dreams, but we can't do this alone. Support us by donating here
