$5,000 Goal

The Richard P. Hall Eagles Foundation is helping the next generation see just how far their potential can take them.

Created in honor of the late Richard P. Hall, an African-American Air Force officer, aviator, and community leader, the Foundation carries forward his belief in the power of education and mentorship to open doors. Hall logged more than 16,000 combined flight hours throughout his aviation career, but his legacy reaches far beyond the cockpit.

Today, the Richard P. Hall Eagles Foundation works to expand access and equity in STEM education, connecting young people with opportunities to explore aviation, aerospace, engineering, robotics, automotive, medical, and technology careers.

Through hands-on learning experiences, students are invited to do more than hear about what is possible. They get to see it, experience it, and begin imagining themselves in those careers.

A cornerstone of this work is the Foundation’s Aviation & STEM Expo, which brings students, families, educators, industry professionals, and the community together for immersive STEM experiences. In December 2025, the eighth year of the event, we reached more than 2,700 students and 2,500 community guests.

Now, the Foundation is building on that momentum and expanding its reach into Homestead. The Annual Aviation & STEM Expo in Homestead invites thousands of Miami-Dade elementary through high school students to a two-day STEM experience at the Homestead-Miami Speedway this December. This will include hands-on learning and opportunities to see helicopters, airframe equipment, avionics, and aerospace technologies as well as NASCAR vehicles and technology in medicine.

Our vision is bigger than a single event. We are working to help build a regional pipeline from classrooms to careers, particularly for students who have historically had less access to STEM opportunities and professional pathways.

This includes STEM Saturday education workshops, ongoing mentorship, STEM scholarships, and partnerships with higher education and industry. Over time, we will benefit the community at large by creating systemic pipelines to technology and engineering certifications and credentialing, fueling intentional economic growth, and addressing the inequalities of exposure and opportunities.

Sometimes, a young person’s future takes flight the moment they can finally see themselves in it.

This Give Miami Day, your support helps us open more doors, create more hands-on STEM experiences, and give more young people the opportunity to explore how high they can soar.
