South Miami K-8 PTA

At South Miami K-8 Center, our mission is simple yet powerful: To empower every student at South Miami K-8 Center—home of the Eagles—to Raise Their Spirits and Soar! Serving our vibrant community from Pre-K through 8th grade, we foster an environment where high academic standards and world-class artistic expression meet.

As a nationally certified Magnet School of Excellence, South Miami K-8 Center offers unique educational pathways that nurture critical thinking and creative talent. Our students excel through rigorous programs like:

• Cambridge International

• Specialized Studio Training in Expressive Arts including Theatre, Art, and Dance (Grades 3–5),

• Cutting-edge digital media instruction in our Computer Art & Technology (C@T) Magnet.

Together with our dedicated Exceptional Student Education (ESE) and Gifted programs, we ensure every child receives the individualized support they need to thrive.

Your support on Give Miami Day is essential to maintaining this tradition of excellence. Donations directly fuel classroom technology upgrades, specialized arts and digital studio equipment, teacher grants, and campus life enrichment—providing our Eagles with the resources they need to lead with excellence, integrity, and passion.

The Role of Our PTA

Behind every soaring Eagle is a community that lifts them up. The South Miami K-8 Center Parent Teacher Association (PTA) works hand-in-hand with our educators, administrators, and local families to bridge essential funding gaps and turn big educational dreams into reality.

When you invest in South Miami K-8 Center on Give Miami Day, your gift directly powers:

Cambridge & STEM Resources: Classroom tech upgrades, advanced learning media, and literacy tools that keep our academic curriculum cutting-edge.

Arts & Digital Media Studio Gear: Specialty equipment, performance staging, digital design software, photography tools, and ceramic studio supplies for our young artists.

Teacher Classroom Grants: Direct funding for innovative lesson plans, specialized classroom materials, and teacher appreciation initiatives.

Campus & Student Life: Family engagement nights, campus beautification projects, and student recognition events that build a safe, welcoming, and vibrant school community.

Your generosity on Give Miami Day ensures our teachers are equipped, our studios are funded, and every South Miami K-8 Eagle has the tools they need to spread their wings and soar!
