Latin and American US Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social well-being of older adults and families through culturally meaningful, community-based programs.

Our Story

Our community work began in Miami in 2016, when we started bringing activities, education, wellness resources, and meaningful social connection directly to older adults in affordable housing communities. As this work grew and reached more residents and families, Latin and American US Foundation Inc. was formally incorporated in Florida in 2023 to strengthen and expand our mission.

Today, we continue meeting people where they live. We work in 34+ affordable housing communities, providing year-round programs designed to promote healthy aging, reduce social isolation, strengthen cognitive and emotional well-being, build life skills, and connect residents and families with valuable community resources.

Our Programs

Our work is organized through four core programs: Living with Purpose; Healthy Aging and Wellness; Family and Community Wellness Support Program; and Youth Leadership and Community Engagement and Educational Program.

Through these programs, participants have access to wellness education, cognitive and physical activities, arts and cultural experiences, nutrition education, health screenings, community resource connections, family support, leadership opportunities, and special community events.

Our Impact

Our programs have reached 4,500+ older adults, approximately 2,300 families, and more than 7,000 individuals through our community-based services, outreach activities, distributions, wellness initiatives, and special events.

But our impact is more than numbers. It is an older adult feeling less isolated, a family discovering a resource they did not know existed, and a community having a trusted organization consistently return to listen, connect, educate, and serve.
