John I Smith Elementary PTA is an association within John I Smith K-8 center that exist to strengthen communication and collaboration between families and the school. John I. Smith K-8 Center is a public school located in Doral, Florida, and is part of Miami-Dade County Public Schools. The school serves students from Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade, providing an educational experience that allows students to remain on one campus throughout their elementary and middle school years. The school emphasizes creating a safe, positive, and welcoming environment where students feel valued and respected while developing a love for learning. John I. Smith K-8 Center also offers enriched academic opportunities, including Gifted and Talented programming and Cambridge International curriculum options. The campus is home to the Falcons and encourages students and families to participate in school activities, events, and organizations such as the PTSA. In the 2024–2025 school year, the school served approximately 785 students with a student-to-teacher ratio of about 16 to 1. This year we're preparing to open the doors to a state of the art multi-use building which will house a computer lab, band room and art room. Overall, John I. Smith K-8 Center aims to prepare students for future success by combining academics, technology, collaboration, and a strong sense of school community.

As the largest volunteer child advocacy association in the nation, Parent Teacher Association (PTA) reminds our country of its obligations to children and provides parents and families with a powerful voice to speak on behalf of every child while providing the best tools for parents to help their children be successful students.
