Founded in 2005 by the late Modira Escarment, the Escarment Foundation for the Needy was born from one man’s dream to transform the pain and poverty he witnessed in his hometown of Saint-Louis-du-Nord, Haiti, into hope and opportunity. What began as a small act of compassion has become a powerful movement one that feeds families, educates children, and restores dignity to the most vulnerable among us.

Today, under the leadership of Dinah Escarment, Modira’s daughter, that same legacy of love continues to grow. From opening an orphanage in Port-au-Prince to building schools in northern Haiti, the foundation has expanded its mission to serve both Haiti and South Florida providing food security, educational resources, and life-saving medical supplies to families in need.
