At Agape Enrichment Center, we believe that every child deserves the best education possible to prepare them for the world beyond the classroom setting. We believe in a learning environment that fosters and focuses on language acquisition and use, social skills development and the importance of play within a warm and caring setting that celebrates and encourages both individual growth and participation as part of a greater social community.
AGAPE 4 ORPHANS INTERNATIONAL, INC. of Miami-Dade was founded in 2008. Throughout the years, we have provided hundreds of youth from low- and moderate-income families a safe haven away from bad influences during the most vulnerable times of the day when school is out. Every year we strive to find exciting ways to improve and adapt our programs & services to keep them relevant, interesting, educational, and current. We make sure to listen, assess, and respond to the changing needs of our youth, families, and community as a whole. Our mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.
Here at Agape 4 Orphans our project learn program currently offers the following: Playbooks Reader's Theatre to improve literacy fluency and comprehension; Homework help to provide youth with support and guidance for completion of school work; Access to computers/internet for completion of online homework assignments; an evidence based Brain Storm program that offers physical fitness activities and physical challenges; and arts and crafts to foster creativity and art exploration. The activities also include: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM), family engagement & enrichment activities, health education, and mentoring. Project Learn instills cooperation, teamwork, aerobic games, and enjoyable skills and sports activities.
