ABOUT US:

The Educational Foundation for Children's Care Inc; seeks to provide scholarships for children who come from minority communities in South Florida, after-school academic support, a counseling program for children of prisoners, and residential care at our project site in Jamaica for abandoned, abused, less fortunate children. This support includes but is not limited to food, medical care, clothing, shelter, education, vocational skills, spiritual, and psychological nurturing as needed.
Presently, our eldest teenager is registered in a local University to pursue an undergraduate teacher training program in special education; and two others from our home are attending local high schools.

Our expansion plans call for new facilities where more children can be accommodated as we relocate to the new property we have just purchased. We are transitioning the project to house our children in better facilities and improved conditions. This new location requires a significant upgrade such as upgrading the house to make it child-friendly, furnishings, and also the fencing of the entire property of over 3 acres to ensure the security of our children.

We invite all who share our passion for children, who through no fault of theirs exist in less than ideal situations; children who need the help of someone just to survive, a loving and compassionate shoulder on which to lean, that may help them avoid the slippery slope of crime and violence and hopefully make a success of their lives.
